Accounting Manager

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and ensure the integrity of the general ledger for a dynamic subscription-based security services business. Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reserves, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Conduct detailed general ledger account analysis and proactively resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP for revenue recognition and accounting treatment of subscription and recurring revenue streams.
• Enhance close schedules, documentation, and accounting controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors by preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on month-end close and general ledger functions.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, reconciliations; macros a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience in a subscription-based or recurring-revenue business model.
• Prior experience supporting external audits and familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
