Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of quarter-end and year-end financial statement packages, ensuring accurate allocation to Limited Partner entities.
- Coordinate with finance leadership and external auditors to prepare year-end financials and audit reports in compliance with SEC regulations.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Company CFOs and tax preparers to ensure timely and accurate preparation of Limited Partner and General Partner tax returns.
- Prepare and review management fee calculations and waterfall distributions, ensuring alignment with fund agreements.
- Analyze and report on internal rates of return and capital multiples to support investment decision-making.
- Facilitate the preparation of Capital Calls and Distributions for Limited Partners, enhancing cash flow management.
- Respond to ad-hoc financial requests, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred or in progress.
- Experience in private equity fund accounting and familiarity with legal document terminology.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with general ledger accounting systems, preferably Intuit QuickBooks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, demonstrating a focused work ethic and team player attitude.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and ASC-742.
- Prior experience in fund administration or financial auditing.
