Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage third-party property management accounting teams, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Execute full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial reporting for real estate investments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders and investors to facilitate effective cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies to maintain financial integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align accounting practices with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize extensive Yardi software expertise to streamline real estate accounting and reporting functions.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Yardi software.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with additional accounting software or ERPs such as SAP or NetSuite.
- Knowledge of acquisition integration and revenue recognition principles.
- Familiarity with ASC-742 and other relevant accounting standards.
