Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all financial information for portfolio companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance in reporting.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc analyses, to evaluate investment performance.
- Develop and implement budgeting tools and policies to effectively manage management company expenditures.
- Maintain detailed investment ledgers that track performance metrics and returns.
- Collaborate with senior investment professionals, vendors, and cross-functional teams, including IT, accounting, tax, and legal, to drive value creation.
- Enhance financial processes and reporting systems to support strategic decision-making.
- Act as a key resource for financial insights, contributing to the overall success of investment initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within private equity or investment firms.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, or economics with a strong academic record.
- Proficient in financial reporting and analysis, with a solid understanding of fund/private equity operations.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with familiarity in financial software and ERPs such as SAP or NetSuite.
- Exceptional attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various functions and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with acquisition integration, revenue recognition, or ASC-742 standards.
