Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial reports to ensure timely completion of budgets and quarterly forecasts, aligning with management goals.
- Perform monthly variance analysis between actual performance and budget, providing insights to enhance financial decision-making.
- Analyze trends in Return on Equity and Rate of Return, delivering actionable insights for both actual and budgeted figures.
- Update and refine the financial forecasting model to reflect current business dynamics and support strategic planning.
- Assist in evaluating acquisitions and new business opportunities, contributing to the organization's growth initiatives.
- Prepare and publish detailed financial and key metrics reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity for stakeholders.
- Support data compilation for rate case filings and quarterly audit requests, maintaining high standards of confidentiality and integrity.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in reading and analyzing financial reports, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to internal and external auditors.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., JD Edwards Insights preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
