Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure timely month-end close processes.
• Maintain and oversee balance sheet, bank, prepaid, and accrual schedules to support financial accuracy.
• Assist in internal financial reporting and provide support during year-end audits.
• Manage operational accounting functions, including accounts payable, billing, payroll, benefits, fixed assets, and depreciation.
• Monitor expense coding, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support cash reporting, reconciliations, forecasting inputs, and payment documentation.
• Enhance internal controls and process documentation while collaborating cross-functionally with HR, operations, and management.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience with a focus on month-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
• Experience in payroll and operational accounting.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Nice-to-Have:
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience in asset management, financial services, or professional services.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and ASC-740.
