Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process for assigned business units, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and perform initial flux analysis to maintain financial integrity.
• Serve as the primary accounting partner for business units, providing guidance on GAAP compliance, revenue recognition, and expense classification.
• Design and implement standardized accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
• Support the transition to NetSuite by assisting with data cleanup, mapping, and validation of opening balances.
• Contribute to audit preparation and internal control documentation as the organization scales.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support centralized accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on month-end close in multi-entity environments.
• CPA certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and management fee processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations.
• Background in supporting system conversions or ERP implementations.
• Familiarity with professional services, marketing, or agency environments.
