Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior management, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Oversee the financial statement consolidation process, enhancing reporting efficiency.
- Manage treasury functions and support acquisition accounting and onboarding processes.
- Develop and maintain SOX compliance and administrative policies to streamline accounting operations.
- Assist in variance analysis and preparation of internal reports comparing budget vs. actuals.
- Support SEC filings, including offering documents and financial statements.
- Coordinate external financial audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and investor relations.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in public accounting or with a public company.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and cost accounting, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining licensure.
- Experience in real estate, particularly with REITs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite, and technical accounting concepts like Acquisition Integration and Revenue Recognition (ASC-742).
