Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis to provide timely financial insights.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Support acquisition integration efforts, including financial due diligence and post-merger accounting activities.
• Drive improvements in accounting processes and systems, leveraging ERP tools such as SAP or NetSuite to enhance efficiency.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC-742), and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP or NetSuite.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Nice-to-Have:
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Familiarity with acquisition integration processes and financial due diligence.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools.
