Responsibilities
- Facilitates the annual budgeting process for capital and operational expenditures, ensuring the accuracy of budget data.
- Conducts monthly variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgeted figures.
- Delivers detailed analyses on trends in Return on Equity and Rate of Return for both actual results and budgeted projections.
- Updates and adjusts the company’s financial forecasting model as necessary.
- Assists the Manager in evaluating potential acquisitions and new business ventures.
- Prepares, maintains, analyzes, and disseminates financial reports and key performance metrics.
- Supports the Manager with data collection for regulatory filings and manages data requests for quarterly audits.
- Maintains and updates Sarbanes-Oxley documentation to ensure compliance with controls; collaborates with internal and external auditors as needed.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or seven years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in an Accounting or Finance role.
- Proficient in reading and analyzing financial statements, with the ability to present findings and address inquiries from internal and external auditors.
- Advanced computer skills are required.
- Effective communication skills to build collaborative relationships with various departments and personnel.
- Prior experience with JD Edwards and Adaptive Insights is highly desirable.
