Fund Accountant

Responsibilities

• Execute the month-end close process, including the preparation of NAV packages, performance calculations, and corporate and investor reporting.
• Facilitate successful deal fundings and investment setups in internal and administrative systems.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and investor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare materials for internal management and committee meetings, contributing to informed decision-making.
• Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers, including administrators, custodians, and auditors.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across Corporate, Operations, Marketing, Tax, Legal, and Technology to streamline processes.
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests from management or investors, including technological initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• CPA certification required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in private funds or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Experience with management fee calculations and carry waterfall calculations.
• Proven ability to evaluate process controls and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with Alteryx, Anaplan, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with fast-paced, evolving work environments.
