Responsibilities

Maintain accurate books and records for pooled private investment funds and separate accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Perform cash, investment, and real property reconciliations, enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting.
Record and reconcile purchase and sale transactions, contributing to timely financial statements.
Account for complex corporate actions and estimate monthly closing accruals to support financial accuracy.
Calculate income and expense allocations for partners, updating distribution waterfalls in accordance with governing documents.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports for clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, showcasing performance metrics and insights.
Collaborate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators to ensure seamless operations and compliance.

Qualifications

Must-Have: 10-12 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, with a blend of Big Four public accounting and investment management industry exposure.
Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes and account analysis.
Proficient understanding of investment company accounting rules and complex financing structures.
Experience with Geneva/GWI and Investran accounting systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Nice-to-Have: CPA designation and familiarity with investment exclusion rights and participation strategies.
Solid analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex financial issues effectively.
