Responsibilities

• Analyze and review monthly financial statements from property managers for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify and address discrepancies and variances in property-level financial data.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, expense classification, and accruals.
• Act as the main accounting contact with third-party property management firms.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice management and vendor payments.
• Monitor cash balances and coordinate funding requests as necessary.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by reviewing and analyzing assumptions.

Qualifications

Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–6+ years of experience in property accounting, particularly in accounts payable.
• Proficiency in financial statement review and discrepancy identification.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing multiple properties and meeting deadlines. Nice-to-Have:
• Experience in a private equity real estate or institutional investment environment.
• Familiarity with fund accounting and ownership structures.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and variance analysis.
