Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
• Execute full-cycle accounting processes, including general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and reporting.
• Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports for investors, ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations, maintaining the integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Utilize Yardi software to streamline real estate accounting functions and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
• Proficiency in Yardi software is essential.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach to work.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with additional accounting software or ERPs such as SAP or NetSuite.
• Familiarity with acquisition integration and revenue recognition principles.
• Knowledge of ASC-742 and other relevant accounting standards.
