Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure timely month-end close processes.
- Maintain and oversee balance sheet, bank, prepaid, and accrual schedules to support financial accuracy.
- Assist in internal financial reporting and provide support during year-end audits.
- Manage operational accounting functions, including accounts payable, billing, payroll, benefits, fixed assets, and depreciation.
- Monitor expense coding, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support cash reporting, reconciliations, forecasting inputs, and payment documentation.
- Enhance internal controls and process documentation while collaborating cross-functionally with HR, operations, and management.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–6 years of accounting experience with a focus on month-end close processes.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
- Experience in payroll and operational accounting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Nice-to-Have:
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience in asset management, financial services, or professional services.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition and ASC-740.
