Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across various entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
• Process accounts payable invoices, manage supporting documentation, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Reconcile daily sales, verify deposits, and upload POS data for accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of credit card transactions, bank statements, and the general ledger.
• Manage payroll processing, including hours review, PTO reconciliation, and benefits tracking.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, providing insights and variance analysis to business owners.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or small business setting.
• Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting principles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Toast, Erply POS systems, and Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with HR-related tasks, including onboarding and benefits administration.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support cross-functional needs.
