Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process for management and affiliated corporate entities, ensuring accurate journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger's accuracy and deliver timely financial reporting for corporate entities.
- Oversee corporate credit card activity, including allocation, reconciliation, and preparation of reimbursements and intercompany allocations.
- Assist in cash management activities, including the establishment and maintenance of bank accounts for corporate and investment entities.
- Support audits, tax preparation, and respond to ad hoc financial reporting requests.
- Perform basic Yardi system administration, including user setup and chart of accounts maintenance.
- Collaborate with fund accounting, asset management, and operations teams to ensure compliance with expense classification and firm policies.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, private equity, investment management, or professional services.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Experience with accounts payable in a multi-entity environment.
- Familiarity with Yardi is required or strongly preferred.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience supporting management companies within private equity or real estate investment firms.
- Exposure to intercompany accounting and expense allocations.
- Experience working in a lean or high-growth environment.
