Responsibilities
- Oversee the SEC financial reporting process, ensuring timely and high-quality quarterly and annual filings (Form 10-Q/K and other required documents).
- Contribute to the preparation and review of quarterly earnings materials and materials for Audit Committee and Board meetings.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting controls and maintain documentation to meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Guarantee that SEC filings adhere to eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, addressing various requests efficiently.
- Conduct research on technical guidance, implement new accounting standards, and compile peer disclosure information.
- Streamline financial reporting processes by enhancing efficiencies and documenting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- 12+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on SEC financial reporting.
- CPA certification and experience with a Big Four accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in the alternative investment management industry.
- Familiarity with financial reporting software such as Geneva and Workiva.
