Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of four accounting professionals, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
• Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in general ledger management, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Manage the financial close processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, delivering GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms on tax filings, audits, and compliance matters.
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Sales, and Operations teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Maximize the use of RLM Apparel Software for accounting, inventory, and production management, serving as the internal expert on best practices.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting or Controller role within the apparel industry.
• Deep expertise in GAAP and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Proficiency with RLM Apparel Software and experience in its implementation.
