Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for renewable energy funds and projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
- Manage investor journal entries and Fund cash journal entries to maintain financial integrity.
- Assist with tax filings related to Investment Tax Credits and Production Tax Credits, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and tax reviews, providing necessary financial insights.
- Support daily accounting operations and contribute to the development of standardized accounting policies and procedures.
- Communicate financial results and key metrics to senior management and business unit leaders, fostering informed business decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting processes and drive strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience working with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and financial stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems such as MS Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, or Appfolio is a plus.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in solar renewables and/or tax credit investments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter attitude, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
